Hi—we’re Ben and Joe, and we started The Care Share Solution because we believe in the power of people looking out for one another.
We’re more than just a housing initiative—we’re a community built on empathy, respect, and human connection. We are thrilled therefore to have partnered with Homeshare International, a global network dedicated to creating sustainable, supportive and integrational living arrangements around the world.
We’ve both witnessed with our own families how isolating it can be to grow older—how everyday life can become a little harder and a lot lonelier. At the same time, we know how tough it is for younger people to find affordable places to live and a sense of purpose in their day-to-day.
Care Share Solution is our way of bringing those two worlds together. We carefully match older people who want to stay independent in their own homes with kind, trustworthy postgraduate students or young professionals who offer a little help and a lot of heart. It’s a win-win: friendship, support and shared living that makes life richer for everyone involved.
Safety and trust are at the core of everything we do. Every housemate is thoroughly vetted, background-checked, and supported throughout the process. We stay closely involved to make sure both older people and sharers feel safe, respected, and heard every step of the way.
We’re proud to be working alongside Age Action Alliance and Re-engage—two brilliant charities committed to reducing loneliness and helping older people stay connected and valued. Their work inspires us, and their values—kindness, dignity, and community—are at the heart of The Care Share Solution.
